Google Ads vs Meta Ads: Which One Should Your Business Start With?
One catches people who are already searching. The other creates demand while they scroll. Here's how to choose — and when to run both.

Almost every business owner asks us the same question: should I spend my budget on Google or on Facebook and Instagram? The honest answer is that they do different jobs. Once you see the difference, the choice becomes easy.
Google Ads catch demand that already exists
When someone types “dentist near me” or “AC repair in Sonipat”, they have a problem and want it solved now. Google Ads put you at the top of that search. You pay when someone clicks, and the people clicking are usually ready to act.
- Best for urgent or high-intent services: doctors, repairs, lawyers, coaching admissions
- Leads tend to be higher quality
- Clicks can be more expensive in competitive categories
Meta Ads create demand while people scroll
On Instagram and Facebook nobody is searching for you. Instead you interrupt their scroll with something worth stopping for — a mouth-watering dish, a transformation, a limited offer. Meta lets you target by location, age and interests.
- Best for visual businesses: food, fashion, salons, gyms, real estate, events
- Cheaper reach — thousands of local people for a small budget
- Click-to-WhatsApp ads start conversations directly
A simple way to decide
- Do people search for what you sell when they need it? Start with Google.
- Is what you sell visual, impulse-driven or new to people? Start with Meta.
- Have a website visitor or follower list already? Use Meta to retarget them cheaply.
Most growing businesses end up running both: Google to capture ready buyers, Meta to build awareness and retarget people who didn't convert the first time.
Whatever you choose, track it
The biggest waste we see is ads with no conversion tracking. Before spending a rupee, set up tracking for calls, WhatsApp clicks and form submissions. Then you'll know your real cost per lead — and which platform deserves more budget.
